Synopsis

A collection of stories that happened in the recent past, tales which now lives in the words and memories of the elders.

We became visitors, listeners listening to those who had anecdotes that animated the earth beneath our feet. Retired men and women, workers, the members of a mutual aid society on the Ligurian riviera, old accounts of daily life forgotten in the archives of a town hall in Swiss Romande, fishermen who had entered folktales.

Their stories inspired these pages. We recorded and transcribed their words, set them in an imaginary place where times, themes and geographies, came together.
